Each apartment has smoke and/or heat detectors.
If smoke from cooking sets off your alarm:
Use the Hush/Smoke Release button by your entrance wall panel.
This will silence the alarm in your apartment for 2 minutes.
⚠️ Do NOT open your door to the hallway unless there is a real fire — hallway detectors will trigger a full building evacuation.
False alarms may result in callout charges from Fire & Emergency NZ.
